Al-Salam Alykom :)

I hope everyone is fine and doing great :)

In this journal I’ll present the verses from the Quran in which Virgin Mary was mentioned because I’ve known recently that many people don’t know that we believe in Mary or Jesus, but we do believe in them but in a different way than the Christians and Jews do.

The words between brackets () interpret the preceding ones.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 2, Aal Imran (The Family of Imran)
------------------------------------------------------

33. Allah did choose Adam and Nouh (Noah), the family of Ibrahim (Abraham), and the family of Imran above all people.

34. Offspring, one of the other, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

35. Behold! The wife of Imran said: "O my Lord! I have vowed to You what is in my womb for Your service, So accept this from me, for You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower."

36. Then when she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!" - and Allah knew best what she brought forth- " And the male is not Like the female. And I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I commend her and her offspring to Your protection from the Shaitan (Satan), the Damned."

37. Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in a good manner, and put her under the care of Zakariya. Every time that he entered the chamber to see her, he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Whence comes this to you?" She said: "This is from Allah.” Verily, Allah provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."

38. There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! grant unto me from You a progeny that is pure. You are indeed the All-Hearer of prayer!”

39. While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, noble, chaste, and a prophet, from among the righteous."

40. He said: "O my Lord! How can I have a son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Allah does what He wills."

41. He said: "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Your Sign," was the answer, "You shall not speak to no man for three days but with signals. And remember the praises of your Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."

42. Behold! The angels said: "O Maryam! Allah has chosen you and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations.”

43. "O Maryam! Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord, prostrate yourself, and bow down [in prayer] with those who bow down."

44. This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto you [O Muhammad!] by inspiration. You were not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam, nor were you with them when they disputed.

45. Behold! The angels said: "O Maryam! Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him, his name will be The Messiah Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and one of those who are nearest to Allah.”

46. "He shall speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and he shall be one of the righteous."

47. She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?" He said: "Thus, Allah creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He but says to it, 'Be,' and it is!

48. And He (Allah) will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Taurah (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).

49. And will make him a messenger to the Children of Israel, [with this message]: “I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave, and I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I bring the dead to life, by Allah's leave, and I declare to you what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you if you did believe.

50. “And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Taurah, and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.”

51. "It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a Way that is straight."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 4, Al Nisa’ (The Women)
-----------------------------------------

155. Because of their breaking the covenant, rejecting the signs of Allah, killing the prophets unjustly, and of their saying: “Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the prophets say)” – nay, Allah has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.

156. And because of their (the Jews) disbelief and uttering against Maryam a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse).

157. And because of their saying: “We killed The Messiah Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, not crucified him, but the resemblance of Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man, and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no certain knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely, they killed him not.

158. But Allah raised him up unto Himself. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 19, Maryam (Mary)
----------------------------------

16. And mention in the book (The Quran) Maryam, when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.

17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her our angel (Jibreel, Gabriel), and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.

18. She said: “I seek refuge with the Most Gracious from you, if you do fear Allah.”

19. He said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from your lord, to announce to you the gift of a righteous son.”

20. She said: “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?”

21. He said: “So (it will be), your Lord said: ‘That is easy for me (Allah): and (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed (by Allah).’”

22. So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a far place.

23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: “Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!”

24. Then he cried to her from below her: “Grieve not: your Lord has provided a water stream under you.”

25. “And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you.”

26. “So eat and drink and be glad. And if you see any human being, say: “I have vowed a fast unto the Most Gracious so I shall not speak to any human being this day.”

27. Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: “O Maryam! Indeed you have brought a mighty thing.”

28. “O sister (i.e. the like) of Haroun (Aaron)! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor was your mother an unchaste woman.”

29. Then she pointed to him. They said: “How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?”

30. He (Iesa – Jesus) said: “I am indeed a slave of Allah, He has given me the scripture and made me a prophet.”

31. “And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live.”

32. “And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest.”

33. “And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die and the day I shall be raised alive!”

34. Such is Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam. [It is] a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).

35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it: “Be”, and it is.

36. “And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a path that is straight.”

First day in Madrid :d .. waiting to finish my working hours to explore :d

Al Salam Alykom :) (Smile)

I hope everyone is doing great in their lives :) (Smile)

Here I come again with season II of "Guided ... Through The Quran" :)

Allah says:
"O mankind! We created you from a single [pair] of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other [not that ye may despise [each other]. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is [he who is] the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted [with all things]" ... 49:13

I hope you like it as I did and find it useful in your way of seeking the truth.
